Brightlingsea Academy- providing place of education and two daily meals to children living below the poverty line aged 0 - 11 years old, Girl Power - supporting vulnerable young women to give them all the tools they need to stay in school and become educated, financially independent young women.

Story

If anyone knows me you know firstly I always like to challenge myself and secondly I have grown up with the importance of education drilled into me (thanks mum and dad)... I have had a stable life with amazing parents (they told me to write that!) who have given, and continue to give me all the support I could have needed, I would like to support this fabulous charity.

Porridge and Pens Ghana is a locally organised charity set up
to support children and young people to feed,  educate and increase their life chances, helping them become independent and successful later on in life so they can support their families and communities in turn.

I have set myself the challenge of completing a half iron man (1.9 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride & a 13 mile run) in Shropshire on June 3rd and I would be grateful if people could support me - that way, when
the energy dips and I question my decision, knowing I am raising money to support these amazing children will help me to keep going!
