We aim to provide high quality education for children in Indian, Nepali and Tanzanian communities; to enable livelihood opportunities within these communities; and to motivate the children to progress as far as possible with their education and contribute back to their communities

Story

Hello and welcome to my JustGiving page, thanks for taking the time to visit! I'm raising funds for CU HELP (Cambridge University Helambu Education and Livelihood Project) via the Mondo Challenge Foundation, which is the UK-based partner of HELP. I'm really looking forward to volunteering with HELP teaching English in a rural Nepalese school for 4 weeks in August.

HELP aims to improve education in government schools across the Helambu region of Nepal, one of the world's poorest countries. It has worked with over twenty schools by building and repairing new classrooms and toilets, recruiting and training additional teachers, building playgrounds and safe fencing, and installing clean drinking water, amongst many other projects.

Your donation will make a real difference. For example if 100 people gave just £2 each we could provide 8 classrooms with a new whiteboard, a basic teaching tool which we easily take for granted.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
