In memory of Elizabeth (Betty) Abdulla
We protect and care for vulnerable children to ensure access to a better future

Story

Betty lived in Sudan for many years and she was always conscious of her great good fortune, and especially that of her children, compared to many others around her.

She volunteered regularly at the SOS Village in Khartoum and would have adopted every child she saw if she could have done. Her priority on every visit was to pick up and cuddle every child.

Amir (Betty's eldest son) writes:

"My mother was a primary school teacher and loved children. She knew how important loving care, a stable home, good food and an education were for a child to develop their potential.

When the SOS Village opened in the 1970s on the outskirts of Khartoum I was a teenager but I still recall that she volunteered to help at the village and helped run local fund raising efforts. Her jars of lemon curd sold at charity bazars were legendary. As Mum said herself, she wasn't a great cook but her lemon curd was pretty good."

Please donate so other wonderful people can make sure orphaned or abandoned children continue to get this kind of love.
