As some of you know I didn't have a great year in 2012. This year I've decided to turn it around. I started running early in the year and completed the St David's Day 10k run back in March. Few people have suggested I now do the Cardiff Half Marathon and rather than do it as a personal goal I've decided to take the opportunity to raise some money for charity.

I have not been fortunate to have children myself but I know that there are a lot of parents whose children are going through a very difficult time and that is why I have chosen to raise money for LATCH. They are a charity that supports the Children's oncology centre based at the children's hospital at UHW. They provide support for both the child and the parents during difficult times both emotionally and financially.

Please support this charity by sponsoring me on this site. The furthest I have ran so far is 14 k so I have four weeks to build to the 13 miles. I will be happy just to complete the run but I am aiming to do it within 2 hours 15 minutes.

Thank you in advance for your help however little you are able to afford.
