Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
One Saturday, after finishing our day at North Cross market, I dropped into the Palmerston on Lordship Lane for the obligatory after-work pint. I noticed a flyer with a picture of cute little boy from around the corner called Xavier. He was born with cerebral palsy and his mum and dad are trying to raise the money that can help him to walk. The operation that can do this is expensive at £70,000 and you’d think there were times when they despaired, but they looked at the problem and decided to overcome it by doing whatever it would take to raise the money. I find Gavin and Sharanjit’s approach, actions and aims an inspiration which is why I’d like to do what I can to help.
Recommend a Friend to BicycleNation and we will donate 50% of our first fee.
If you are an existing customer and introduce a friend to us we will donate half of the labour charge to Help Xavier. For a basic service that means £15 and for a full service it’s £30. We’ll do this through this Just Giving page under you and your friend’s names to make it easy to track.
Join a sponsored bike ride in Wales
Xavier’s father Gavin has organised a ride to Wales. If you’d like to join him and his mates can raise £1000 (approx) we’d like to say thank you with a full service and clean* (worth £60). We will provide items like energy foods and drink, tyres and inner tubes at cost.
Kick Back for Charity Bike Riders
If you would like your bike serviced before the Wales ride (or indeed would like to do your own ride) we’ll pass all of the labour fee to Xavier’s charity.
Bike Servicing Event at Peckham Rye Books Sunday 14th April
All labour charges for the day go straight to Xavier’s charity. All donations done through this Just giving page for transparency.
Thank you for helping us support a local boy!
