Losing Paul Spragg on the 8th May this year has hit everyone who knew him terribly. The subsequent outpouring of happy anecdotes, memories and consideration has not only been a tiny comfort to those in their worst of days, but was a confirmation that Paul was one of those rare things: a genuinely good bloke. He enriched all those he loved, he knew, he worked with, he was friends with, he even emailed as part of his day job at Big Finish Productions.

When something horrible and unfair happens like this, you look for any positive. A contribution to the British Heart Foundation helps in the hope that perhaps in the future someone else won't have to experience this sort of sadness when a charismatic smile and laugh is made silent.

Although Paul's death was not related to a heart condition, he and his family have been supporters of the British Heart Foundation for many years.

I'm here again. I've been nominated for this ice bucket challenge thing. Instead of throwing a bucket of ice over my head I'm donating here. Miss you Paul xxx

I can't say me and Paul knew each other well (we emailed a bit, and only spoke a few times on the phone) however through the podcast I felt I did know him and will miss him.

To explain: this random-looking odd sum is a share of a PPI claim that I was completing when I heard the news. I didn't know Paul but always looked forward to hearing him on the Big Finish podcast.

Roger and Babs - I have fond memories of Paul (& Nick) at West Town many years ago. Thank you for giving David & I the opportunity to donate to such a good cause.

I didn't know Paul, or met him, but that doesn't mean his loss isn't felt. Listening to him banter in the Big Finish podcasts made you want to have a chat with him too. I'm sad I won't be able to. RIP
