Fundraising for The Marfan Trust
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So... I'm setting myself a challenge. It will start on October 15th.
30 days. 30 5K runs. These will be a combination of outdoor runs and treadmill runs. If for any reason, I am unable to complete a day, I'll double up the following day. But I will run 150k over the 30 days.
Why? A good friend of mine battles every day with Marfan Syndrome. She's undergone multiple surgeries to A. Try to help her day to day life, and B. To save her life.
Earlier in the year, I donated to the Marfan Foundation through my Justice League of Awesome setup, with the guitar raffle. My friend has since undergone another surgery with greater impact on her life. I want to help fund more research into this horrible condition, and as such, The Marfan Trust (a UK based charity) will be the beneficiary of this fundraiser too. I'll be setting up a just giving (or similar page) to collect donations, and obviously this page... where I'll share progress and info about Marfans daily.
