Paying it forward (Campaign 'Big Pants') for St Catherines Hospice (Crawley) because of their amazing support at a very difficult time

Story

My wife was an exceptional woman, the strongest and most courageous person I know. She battled tirelessly for 10 years fighting the 'Big C'.

From September 2008 to October 2018, her will to survive and spend as much time with our son was the most inspirational and heartbreaking thing I have ever seen.

Unfortunately she lost her battle on October 24th 2018.   The empathy and support St Catherine's Hospice provided in her last few months was amazing. Her wish to be at home and bring St Catherine's to our family made it a very special and close experience for me. I will be forever grateful for this support.

St Catherine's are a local charity that help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Their essential work and services are only part funded by the NHS and they need constant financial support.

My son Josh and I have a personal mission 'Campaign Big Pants' to set up a legacy for Kate and raise as much money as possible to support the great work the Hospice, District Nurses and Carers deliver.

Big Pants was a saying that she shared with her closest friends and relatives meaning wear your big pants and face the world each day.  Even in her darkest moments, big pants were always the way forward.

Please join us in helping support St Catherine's.  Personal contributions, fundraising events and volunteering all help St Catherine's.  I will post all your great support here to create one community for 'Campaign Big Pants' ..  Big Hugs, .. Matt and Josh xxxxx
