Mike Bowden and John Smythe started their cycle ride from Istanbul on All Fools Day, the 1st April 2011. Travelling through Turkey, Greece, Italy (mainland, Sicily and Sardinia) and France (Corsica and mainland from Marseille),  and arrived in Le Havre on 15th May, having completed 2,313 miles and climbed a total of 109,708 feet.
