My dad Bill was a survivor. He has come through a tough childhood to make his way in the world, marry his beloved Bridie and was proud to be the father of me, his daughter Elizabeth. In time he also became a Grandad to 2 lovely boys Angus and Edward. 

Bill in his 80's survived a burst appendix (2 weeks in ITU), skin cancer and lymphoma. However its was the cold creeping hand of dementia that took hold of him in his last 2 years taking his memories and peace of mind. 

He died peacefully on 21st February 2016 and went to join my mum, his beloved wife Bridie, and cherished grandson Angus. who died from leukaemia in 2011. Jonathan, Edward and I were there to say goodbye and let him know how much he was loved. 

It seems fitting to send donations in his memory to Bloodwise as both he and Angus had developed a blood cancer.  Thank you for visiting his page
