Hi Everyone! 

As many of you know I’m taking part in the White collar boxing in April 2022. 

This is going to be one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced to date, not only will I be completely leaving my safe space and stepping out into “the danger zone” to face my fears of too long lived anxiety issues, I’m going to be push my body to its limits aswel. 

I am a care leaver and through my own and many other experiences I have chosen Brightly as my charity to raise money for. 

I have re-written this over and over again to try and put into words the incredible work this charity does. 

They provide hope…No actually they provide Futures to the children and young adults that without them wouldn’t necessarily have a fighting chance. 

Having Brightly means that being dragged through the care system doesn’t diminish your chances of being successful and happy in your adult life. 

Living in care and/or being pushed out into hostels or god knows where at a young can be overwhelming scary especially without essential independent living skills and like most who are or were within the care system support is limited and you don’t have many people to turn too. Brightly changes all of  that they can help you get back on your feet through many ways and mean like funding you through higher education, they can help you set up your newly found home, they give you the independence to get on the roads and into work, the list goes on and on. 

They give us the much needed second chance at life. 

I could write for hours even days on my first hand experience and of off other young people experiences on how essential this charity is!
