Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be taking part in the Pathfinder March on Saturday 26th June 23. I will be doing this event for two charities and I would like to split donations 50/50 if possible but as ever, any support to either charity will be unconditionally appreciated.
The Pathfinder March is an annual 46-mile (74 kilometre) long-distance run or walk around the County of Cambridgeshire, England. The March route visits the former airbases of the famous Royal Air Force Pathfinder Force who were a vital component of Bomber Command during the Second World War. The Pathfinders were target-marking squadrons in RAF Bomber Command during World War II. Flying Halifaxes, Lancasters, Mosquitos, Stirlings and Wellingtons the force grew to 19 Squadrons; locating and marking targets with flares ahead of the main bomber force. The legacy of this dangerous and lonely role is kept alive today by those who challenge themselves to complete the arduous route.
Yateley Industries for the Disabled is a charity that supports people with disabilities, and our aim is to encourage each individual to fulfil his our her own potential, both at work and at home. We achieve this by providing paid, meaningful employment in our supported workshop or charity shop and assisted accommodation where desirable. We employ up to 85 people with disabilities and provide adapted accommodation for up to 48 residents on site. Sadly, small charities are facing significant financial pressures, and we are no exception.

York Road Project (“YRP”) is a homelessness charity that supports
clients
in the borough of Woking and referred clients from a neighbouring
borough, Waverley. It was started by a number of passionate individuals
from various churches in Woking offering sandwiches and soup to people
'sleeping rough'. From there it developed into a 'winter watch' project
supported by Shelter, providing emergency accommodation over the winter
months.
In 2001 York Road Project was formed with The Charity
Commission as a registered Charity. Since then we have worked with
hundreds of people, supporting them to move forward with confidence and
independence. We are passionate about the work we do and believe we have
a positive impact within our local community. We believe that everyone
has the right to have a home of their own and our mission is to end
homelessness together.
