Story

Laura, Amber, Alice, April, Kate & Abby are taking part in this years walk, Laura’s brother Billy is a team member of The Upbeats, he loves attending the sessions, matches & tournaments. CACT has enabled Billy to take part in a sport that he loves and has a big passion for.  We are raising money for The Upbeats so CACT can continue to run this amazing project which means so much to all that are involved!

The Upbeats programme was formed to provide regular activities and engagement for young people and adults with Downs syndrome in South East London and Kent. The project has also reduced isolation for those who attend and their families.

This year's Upbeats Walk will be nine miles long, starting off from Charlton Athletic's Sparrows Lane training ground in New Eltham and ending at The Valley. Walkers will arrive in time for the Upbeats match and then Charlton's fixture against Luton Town.

There will be,
free tea/coffee and fresh pastries at the start line
, free hot food at the finish for walkers
, T-shirt included
and former Charlton players will be taking part.

The Upbeats programme is entirely funded by voluntary donations so your support is greatly appreciated and fundamental to this fantastic cause.
