To celebrate 75 years of independent animal care, the team at Bishopton Veterinary Group have organised two charity events for the summer of 2019.

On Saturday 31st August approximately 8 members of the Bishopton Veterinary team will be cycling a 75 mile route starting and finishing at our Ripon hospital. The route will include some flat bits but also plenty of hills to push them to the max! This year's route is from Ripon over to Pateley Bridge and then on to Masham, via Dallowgill Moor, Kirkby and Grewlethorpe. Once out of the hills, we will head to the flat lands of Thirsk, then over towards Sutton Bank where we will skirt along the bottom of the bank through pretty villages on our way to Sessay. From here we will head back to the practice at Ripon.

On Saturday 21st September a large number of the team will be taking part in a 75 mile relay run.  Starting at the Ripon practice, the run will be done in small groups running the 5 mile loop from the practice round the beautiful Studley Deer Park via the 7 bridges. The groups will continue to complete the loops until a total of 75 miles has been completed!

We are raising money for our chosen farm charity of 2019, The Farm Safety Foundation. The focus of this fantastic charity is on preparing the next generation of farmers to be responsible, confident and safe farmers of the future. Their ambition is clear - to play an active role in dramatically reducing the number of farmers suffering life changing or fatal accidents at work.
