Rob Roy Mighty Hike 2018 · 1 September 2018 ·

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

We are taking on this challenge to hike 26 miles along the Rob Roy Walk through the wild Trossachs National Park from Callander to Killin in Scotland all in aide of Macmillan Cancer Support.

We have spent the past few months training through rain, snow, boggy forests and the blistering (literally!) heatwave. But what joy it has been to walk for many hours and many many miles with good friends, talking, laughing and supporting each other through this training. We even finished a few sessions in the pub with half a larger shandy!

The journey has certainly been an eventful one... one of us was tested for Lyme's Disease, one of us did some training walking around a chateau in France with a glass of champagne in hand and one of us has to wear 'toe condoms' on her exceptionally long toes.

However, knowing that we are raising money for Macmillan, a great charity who have affected so many lives in such a positive way, has certainly helped us to keep our focus and commitment.

Now we are politely asking you, our friends and family to support us in this challenge and donate whatever you can... all donations gratefully received and we thank you all in advance.

Love from The Blister Resister Sisters
