Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For a while now, I've been thinking of doing something to raise money for the NI Hospice.

Those of you who know me well will realise what an amazing job its dedicated team of carers did in looking after my Dad, Bobby, in the last year of his life.

He wasn't just 'another patient'.  These special people did everything within their means to ensure that he was cared for and comforable, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Their holistic approach to my Dad's care also meant that they gave unending support to our family throughout this time.

Without them, it could have been so different.

So, on 25th September, which would have been my parents' 40th wedding anniversary, I'll be abseiling down the Europa Hotel in Belfast! 

I know my Dad is saying 'You're mad!  But, if that's what you want to do...' with a big smile, as he so often reacted to my hairbrained plans!

I know it's something none of us want to think about, but I'd like to believe that if I ever need the amazing services of the NI Hospice, they'll be there for me.  If you agree with this sentiment, please dig deep.
