Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a 40th birthday present to myself and instead of having a big party, I've decided to run the 26 miles of the Robin Hood marathon.
Apparently, running a marathon is the new 'buying a sports car and having an affair with a nineteen year old'. This is my mid-life crisis and I'll die if I want to.
The way I see it is that by not having a big party, I've probably saved you quite a lot of money... I'm thinking: new outfit (£50); night in a hotel (£80); present (£5); drinks - they were on me, it was a free bar..... I know. You're welcome; Cab fare (£10)......Anyway, I think you can probably see where I'm going with this. If you were thinking 'well I wouldn't have gone to that idiothole's party anyway', just donate the birthday card money i.e. about £3
I know that there are lots of deserving charities out there, but this is the one I have chosen and most of the people looking at this page will know why. The funding for research isn't going to come from Government, so it is up to us. Now, if you have one, go and give your wife / mum / daughter/ grandaughter / sister a big hug and tell her how much you love her. Do a good thing. Ta
