Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My term as Leeds Samaritan Prison team co-ordinator comes to an end in October - now, my relationship with the management at HMP Leeds appears to be such that they are more than a little reluctant to see me go... SO...on the 12th October 2009 they are keeping me in the establishment for 24 hrs - and are prepared to let me go the next day provided I can raise at least £2000 in 'bail money' from generous sponsors. My overnight accommodation will hardly be considered salubrious - a small cell in the segregation unit; no TV, video or dvd player, certainly no mobile phone, internet or any contact with the outside world; a somewhat hard mattress, pillow and blanket; and an in-cell toilet. Sparse surroundings indeed.
I THINK I know who my friends are to secure my timely release... but one never knows for sure I guess!?
One thing is for certain, ALL support will help Leeds Samaritans continue their 24/7 service to the tens of thousands of people who rely on our constant support all year round - Thank you to all!!
Bob.
