Last April, a friend of mine pushed me into a 10k race at the last minute. I did it and my time wasn't too bad, so high on the adrenaline of the race I decide to book onto the Bright10 - ten mile race on October 15th. Not sure what I was thinking... 
I'd like to raise money for Carousel who are an amazing charity supporting people with learning disabilities to achieve their artistic ambitions. Their work has changed lives, and also the perceptions of others (including me) and they are actively raising the profile of LD art, music, film and digital arts and creating opportunities for LD artists that would not exist without them. They also let me volunteer for them...!!
I am now slightly panicked so if you would sponsor me it would really motivate me to do the miles. I'm up to 8 miles which is the  furthest I've ever run so I'm pretty pleased - but two more miles to run seems like a very long way.
