Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have chosen undertake my first ever triathlon on 7 August 2010 to support The Koru Foundation. Coming from Africa I am acutely aware of the need for sustainable energy solutions to protect the natural resources in developing countries. I remember being shocked returning to Malawi after an absence of 10 years and noticing how visible the deforestation was as people cut down trees to burn for cooking and warmth. I would love to see Koru's work extend to even more countries and make a real difference to more and more people.

The Koru Foundation (http://www.korufoundation.org/) is the official charity of the British and European Wind Energy Associations (BWEA+EWEA) and focuses entirely on supporting the development of the world’s poorest communities by installing renewable energy systems. Supporting the Koru Foundation is a unique opportunity to make a difference to the lives of those most vulnerable to climate change through providing clean energy which enables people to cook food, pump clean water, power homes, schools and health centres and run small businesses in a sustainable way. The Koru Foundation has already supported communities in Mozambique, Uganda, Peru, Nepal and Cuba but with your help we could make a difference to the lives of many more people.
