Story
Most folks know about my work in food banking, but over the past year, I've moved back home to Jacksonville and now work for Pace Center for Girls's National Office. Even though we've served more than 40,000 girls in our 35 year history, Pace still is one of charity's best kept secrets outside of our close mission partners.
For my birthday, I'm hosting a fundraiser for our Growth campaign that will double any gifts we raise. Our $210 goal becomes $420. Hmmm, 42 must be of some significance . . .
More on Pace Center for Girls:
When a girl walks through our doors, she may feel broken, sad, alone and even angry. Using an integrated girl-centered approach, we combine education, counseling, training, and advocacy, for a holistic and comprehensive experience for success. We help heal the past, offer support for the present and enable every girl to find her voice and transform her future. All girls should feel connected at school, feel safe, have caring adults in their lives, be free from violence, and have an opportunity to grow up healthy and happy. They are the future.
