It makes my heart smile to be able to provide support to a local based charity where I can see the money is making a huge difference to friends and families.

Breast Friends Northamptonshire is run by an amazing group of women who have been through a breast cancer diagnosis. They are a Northamptonshire based support group for people affected by breast cancer.

Leonie Heard set up the charity with two other ladies  whilst undergoing breast cancer treatment herself in 2017 and has a supportive  team of trustees who help to work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the charity and a committee of members. 

This amazing charity provides support by running workshops, day trips and coffee mornings and ensure the needs of the members are met. Each year , they donate around 150-200 bags to people in the Northampton region who are undergoing surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy related to breast cancer. The contents of each type of bag vary, but the average cost is roughly £40 per bag.

I will be running the London Marathon on October the 2nd with thousands of like minded people. Knowing that each step I take will put a few more pounds towards helping provide comfort, love and support will be absolutely amazing.
