RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

How running 172 miles breaks down

 

Hardmoors 110 (114 miles/183.5km) 1st June (Yorkshire)

Mourne Way Ultra (52miles/83.7km) 9th June (Co. Down)

EDAC 10 km handi cap (6mile/10km) 12th June (Co.Down)

 

The Hardmoors 110 Ultramarathon follows the dramatic Cleveland Way National Trail encircling the North Yorkshire Moors and the Cleveland Heritage coastline. Commencing in the North Yorkshire Market town of Helmsley competitors will have a time limit of 36 hours to complete the 114 mile single stage trail race, passing through the North York Moors and the beautiful Cleveland Hills before following the stunning Cleveland Heritage coastline visiting Saltburn, Runswick Bay, Staithes, Dracula's Whitby, The old smuggling town of Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar and the seaside resort of Scarborough before finishing in Filey.

 

The Mournewayultra starts in Rostrevor and follows the 26.2 mile ulster way to the village of Newcastle which is the half way point. Th esecond half is the same rout in reverse. For more details search moureway marathon.

 

EDAC 10km handicap - a four race series covering aprx 10km. Each runners start time will depend on  the time they finished their last race. The aim is to have everyone over the line in a similar time.
