Dear All

Well here we go again...!!!!! I am off to Cost Rica on a 6 day adventure race that will take my team from the Pacific coast of Costa Rica to the Caribean coast, some 580km in only 6 days to complete. The mode of transport is not by car or motorbike..!! We will be kayaking, running, mountain biking, climbing and white water rafting through the rain forests. No hotels, no base camp. Basically sleep when tired, go like hell...

It has been 3 years since I have done a BIG race. The last one being Marathon des Sables (Marthon of the Sands) in the Sahara...6 marathons in 7 days.

This time the chosen charity is for autism. (National Autistic Society). Not only is it the chosen charity of my sponsor, Saxobank, but it is a disease that has struck my sister Patricia's children (all 3 to be precise). I have seen the challenges up close. It is certainly not easy on all persons surrounding the difficulties of loved ones with the disease. I therefore urge you to support me and the NAS in this cause.

We leave on this friday April 16th with the race starting on the 18th April.
