I have decided to complete the London to Paris Cycle ride in support of our industry charity Transaid  who empower and transform lives through safe,available and sustainable transport training and support system meeting the many challenges in sub-Saharan Africa,

In sub-Saharan Africa, road deaths are the third biggest killer following HIV/AIDS and Malaria  and the problem gets worse every year 

To tackle this, Transaid works to transform driver training, standards, and systems across many African Countries

In  2008, Transaid partnered with the Industrial Training
Centre Trust (ITC) in Zambia to build capacity to deliver professional heavy goods vehicle (HGV) driver training to internationally recognised standards this programme has expanded into Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, and most recently Ghana.

 Transaid and its partners each year train circa 5000 drivers,including PSV, HGV and FLT drivers.

We at GXO have been supporting transaid for many years through fund-raising  and each year we support the secondment of a GXO graduate to the Transaid programmes working with the sub-Saharan Africa teams  

Every year I am inspired by the experiences that these young professional individuals at the start of their career have achieved and the  differences  they have made during that year  

I feel it is now time for me to do my part I am a novice  cyclist and for me to complete a 150 miles in 3 days will be a great challenge. I  want to raise over £5000 so please dig deep and support me
