Purple Warriors was established provide rehabilitation through sport for serving and retired members of HM Forces who now have a physical, psychological or neurological impairment. We use the sport of dragon boating to provide the challenging environment for our members. A typical dragon boat crew has 20 paddlers. Although Purple Warriors qualifies to paddle against other impaired crews, it prefers to race against unimpaired crews! In a dragon boat, no one wins or loses alone. It is the ultimate team sport and ideal for military personnel.
