It's just gone 6pm and we finished our challenge around 4pm at the base of the Eiffel tower with temperatures up In The high 80's. 62 miles today giving grand total of 316.17 miles at an average speed of 13.6 mph. All 103 riders met up just over the centre of Paris. We then all cycled enmass to the Arc de triomphe where we went round it causing mayhem with the traffic. Then it was down the Champs Élysées to the place de la Concorde. Tourists clapped and waved As we passed by . Then off to the base of the Eiffel Tower to finish and photo shoot. I have achieved my own personal goal with no injuries and feeling that I could have continued for several more days. Back now for a rest and see the family. Thanks to all who have donated to my charity. Regards Brian

Day 3 It started very wet and by 10 we were wet through. By the end of the day it was75 degrees and humid. We still climbed over 3000ft during the day. In the afternoon we went through a farm yard abs it was like cycle cross and very muddy. We all have muscles that we did not know we had and parts of our anatomy are definitely showing signs of wear. Interesting stats for the day include that every church has to have a tap outside. Other stats include Overall mileage 82.3 miles. Our average has improved to 13.6 mph. I would really like to thank all those friends and colleagues who have contributed to a very worthy charity. Regards Brian

Well after an interesting crossing with very poor food the hotel was another 8 miles. The wind was so strong it blew me off my bike. Today another early start with wake up call at 6am and off by 8am. Cold wet and very windy. Well it's allin the aid of a good charity. Lunch came after about 44 miles but not before Garry and I had found at little cafe for a chocolate chaud and baguette with ham and cheese. Finished by 4pm. Facts for the day. 82.9miles at average of 12.7mph. Total climb 4768ft. Total time in saddle 6.31hours. Now off for a few beers. Regards Brian

Sun see and sangria is slowing down training in Spain.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have always enjoyed cycling and have completed a number of personal challenges connected with cycling in the past. As I am now approaching 56 I felt it was time to raise the stakes in respect of both fitness and my personal challenges whilst also raisng money for a very worthwhile charity. I am doing this ride from London to Paris in early September and would very much appreciate your support.

I have fully funded this ride myself so all money raised will go direct to this charity.

I am doing this ride with 2 work colleagues and we have called our team The over the hill cycling squad..
