From paralysis to a half marathon

As those who know me are already aware, May 4th 2018 was a day that changed my life for ever! From being fit and active, I was paralysed in a moment from the waist down with a condition called cauda equina syndrome. I was told it was likely I may never walk again.

September 5th 2021 is three and a half years to the day from my emergency surgery and I will (attempt) to run the ABP Southampton Half Marathon. This is a huge challenge for me due to the neurological deficit I live with, but it is a challenge I must complete as part of my recovery.

In doing so, I would like to raise as much money as I  can for a wonderful charity. Aerobility helps people with any disability realise just what is possible through the medium of flight and in doing so, changes lives for ever.
