The Rwenzori Development Foundation works alongside local communities in south-western Uganda to promote sustainable education and conservation projects.

Story

On January 27th I'm climbing the Rwenzori Mountains in South Western Uganda. Known as the Mountains of the Moon, they are the largest snow and glacial mountain range in Africa.

As part of a small team, we will go through swampland, jungle and unique high altitude vegetation, culminating in snow and ice-field climbing to the top of Margherita  Peak on Mount Stanley,  at 5109 metres (17,000 ft), the third highest summit on the African Continent.

I'm fundraising for the Rwenzori Development Foundation, a small charity supporting education and conservation projects in the local area.  Please sponsor me!
