Take Heart focuses on training handicapped and blind students in India with vocational employment skills. We support practical education projects as a means to give people the skills needs to gain employment or start a company. We believe ‘Work builds, charity destroys’.

Story

Our wonderful mother died on 8th January 2017 aged 68. We wanted to create a living legacy for her in lieu of flowers. We would appreciate any donations in her memory. For many years mum supported mentally disabled children at an orphanage in India led by Mother Teresa's nuns. She also supported the Anandwan (www.anandwan.in) community to train handicapped students employment skills for 35 years. We decided to split any donations 50/50 for the mentally disabled orphans and to set up a scholarship fund to train disabled students vocational employment skills.

Thank you for any support you can give. It is enormously appreciated.

With thanks,

Lucian, Sebastian and Moya
