We support our local hospitals to make life better for patients.

Story

In early April we launched Brighton Together, bringing our community together to support our NHS heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Located at Brighton College's Pre-Prep site, our NHS Staff Support Hub was central to the initiative, providing NHS staff with 24/7 parking, a space for refreshments and recuperation, and a collection point for care packages that were created in partnership with an exceptional team of parent volunteers.

As soon as the Hub opened, we were overwhelmed by the kindness shown by our local community. The Hub ran for almost 3 months and was nominated for a Community Hero award from the Mayor of Brighton. It gave out up to 500 packs per day,  with over 100 volunteers from our community helping. We also raised over £4500 for NHS charities through the Hub's activities.

Despite no longer having a physical Hub, we would like to continue to support our NHS frontline workers, by supporting the work of Friends of Brighton and Hove Hospitals and a team of dedicated parent volunteers.
