Voluntary Service Overseas - Accenture Kilimanjaro Trek August 2012 · 26 August 2012 ·

VSO is an international development organisation that brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all. Everyday, VSO volunteers are working to empower people living in some of the world’s most marginalised communities.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Since 2006, over 600 Accenture employees from 21 countries have taken part in the VSO Challenge Events, raising almost $4 million towards VSO's vital work throughout the world.  When my friend from business school and now my Accenture colleague, Peggy Hsii, decided to join this challenge to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, I jumped at the opportunity to join her on this trip and make the climb for VSO while expanding my Accenture network.

VSO fights global poverty by bringing people together to share skills, build capabilities, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all.  Climbing for this organization is important to me because not only can I complete the trek but I can also join the mission to empower those affected by poverty.  As part of the trek, we will be visiting a village in Kenya to witness firsthand the benefits of our cause.

So please dig deep and donate now.
