This year I turn 30 and to celebrate I am going to Uganda for 3 weeks to do some volunteering for a charity called Soft Power Education.  I am trying to raise some money, so it would be greatly appreciated if you could donate to this amazing charity.The money goes towards the charity, not my expenses.

Here is a brief description about the charity.

 

Soft Power Education is a British registered, non-religious charity and a Ugandan registered NGO, based in Jinja, Uganda.

 

We have a number of key projects aiming to improve the quality of life in Uganda through education.

 

1)     Pre Schools – two pre schools for orphans and vulnerable children from the communities of Kyabirwa and Buwenda

2)     A School Refurbishment Programme – creating inspiring learning environments at Government Primary Schools under the Universal Primary Education policy.

3)     The Amagezi Education Centre – an awe-inspiring centre providing a unique hands-on learning experience for P6 pupils from 26 partner schools.

4)     The Murchison Project – bridging the gap between the National Park and the communities surrounding the park with an emphasis on Conservation Education

5)     The Special Needs Project – promoting inclusion rather than exclusion of children with disabilities in the Jinja District.
