I am running the Great North Run - Half marathon in the hope to raise as much money for research into Alzheimer’s disease.

After my recent grandads diagnosis and being a carer for 4 years I have seen the devastating impact this disease has on family and friends and through fundraising for research we can hopefully achieve some  answers going forward.

• £20 could fund one hour of vital research.
• £50 could provide access to specialist equipment for studying cells.
• £120 could support complex protein analysis.
• £300 could pay for a genetic test to help identify risk genes.
