The Seeing Eye's mission is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of people who are blind, through the use of specially trained Seeing Eye® dogs. In pursuit of this mission, The Seeing Eye breeds and raises puppies to become Seeing Eye dogs, trains Seeing Eye dogs to guide blind people, instructs blind people in the proper use, handling, and care of the dogs and conducts and supports research on canine health and development.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to donate in honor of Claudia Tirello. She was a founding member of Caring Eyes, the Bergen County Seeing Eye Puppy Raising Club and a club leader for over 30 years.  She was known for her magic touch getting puppies to listen to her during club events,  telling people to keep there knuckles up on the leash, and her funny jokes. We hope to honor her with an engraved brick in honor of Claudia on the path that leads to The Seeing Eye's front door- The Path to Independence, in addition to a sponsored named puppy in her honor.
