Cancer has a way of reaching out and touching everyone. You may have been personally touched already, and survived. You may have friends or relatives that have not, or are currently battling this common killer.  My hope is that we can have a positive impact on the lives of individuals with cancer by raising money for Cancer Research UK.

 

One of the most exciting things about taking on a physical challenge is testing your body with the anticipation of success. You might acknowledge the journey to get there will be tough, but there’s no way to know exactly how you’ll feel until you arrive.

It is with this blissful ignorance that I plan to set off on this year’s Deloitte Ride Across Britain, which will be the most challenging, exciting and incredible journeys I have ever undertaken. Please also bear with me as I bore you all with endless chat about bikes, spending long hours of family time out training and embarrassing everyone as I walk around the house and office in lycra.
