...I am once again dusting off the boxing gloves and entering the ring for a great cause! This time it is one really close to my heart! It was this time last year I was totally lost! Without being over dramatic, I was at the lowest point of my life I have ever been and at times it was all I could do to put one foot in front of the other and just go for a walk!!....I am not too proud to admit, I even had thoughts to end it all. The realisation and trauma of childhood abuse came back to haunt me when I least expected it and I just didn’t know how to cope. Unlike so many people who suffer with depression, I was fortunate enough to be able to have support to turn to. However, too many people can’t afford the cost of counselling and programs such as CBT and this is where Dorset Mind can help! Please dig deep and donate some money for such a great cause! Depression and other mental health issues still have a certain taboo about them and only those who have lived through it, or with someone who’s suffered can truly understand the difficulties it brings but also truly appreciate the help of charities such as Dorset Mind.
