Story
Stepping it up a gear from last years half tough mudder to try conquer it all. As well as the challenge and enjoyment from us all participating, we are fundraising for a good cause.
The attempt of this gruelling assault course will be in aid of The Katie McKerracher Trust. A charity which was set up to help those who are in a similar position to what my sister Katie was, with a Diffuse Pontine Glioma. A rare brain tumour which takes lives and to this day has no proven treatment.
Katie was a kind, outgoing young girl, who was unfortunately diagnosed with DPG at the age of 10. A brave fight of the brain tumour over the course of 11 months ultimately culiminated in Katie passing away aged 11. An irreplaceable hole left in the lives of people around her.
The Katie McKerracher Trust aims to provide opportunity and comfort for families to share with each other, to help remember the happy times with their loved ones through a period of sadness.
We would all be very grateful if you were able to donate. It means a lot and it will all go a long way to the charity continuing to help both those suffering from the illness and families around them.
Thanks.
Bruce, Sarah and Kerr.
