As some of you may know, last April I took a fair old tumble down the side of Aonach Eagach ridge while out walking.

I was pretty banged up and unfortunately had to call for the Glencoe Mountain Rescue to come to my aid.....as well as the helicopter.

Without the help of them that day it could have been a very different story to tell. 

In way of saying thank you to the Glencoe Mountain Rescue team (who are all volunteers) and as they don’t get much in way of government funding, I have decided to raise money for them by running the Mont-Blanc 90km race at the end of June this year. 

The race is 91km long with 6220m of vertical racing and is one of the most technical ultra trail races in its category with narrow, sometimes exposed paths, snowy sections and an average altitude above the 2000m mark. The race has to be completed within 24hours.
