A while ago, I decided to enter the Fire and Ice Ultra, a 6-day ultra marathon across the Icelandic highlands. 

The race consist of a 250 km run from the glacier in the center of Iceland, to the hot springs near the coast. To earn this challenge competitors must be self-reliant, carrying everything they need for the duration of the race. 

A long run is great, but what makes it truly special is the great charity I have decided to support: the Riverside School. This amazing school heavily depends on the generosity of supporters like you to help them to advance the education and opportunities for their special pupils by providing additional resources and activities. Their pupils (aged 4-19) all have severe or profound learning difficulties, many of them being on the autistic spectrum.
