My son Jamie has Metaphyseal Dysplasia of the Schmidt type this a condition that effects how his long bones grow. He has received excellent care over the years from the team at Glasgows sick kids hospital ( Yorkhill). he has had 2 operations and it was because of this that 3 almost 4 years ago I began running. At the time Jamie was diagnosed there was a possibility that Jamie would never be able to run, however with the excellent care he received he runs about with almost no issues. ( although he only does short distances lol). I am going to as part of my challenge attempt to run my 10K in a new personal best time of 45 minutes just to make it a little harder lol. So finally please give generously it's for a great cause and a great team of staff.
