On the 24th July Kate (The Wife) and I plus a gang from Pontefract Golf Club and Pontefract Squash Club will attempt to walk around all of the Race Courses in Yorkshire, to raise money for a fabulous charity - Prince of Wales Hospice.

The plan is we will set off from Pontefract at 6am and will then travel through the day to Wetherby, Catterick, Ripon, Thirsk, Redcar, Beverley, York and Doncaster before arriving back at Pontefract Racecourse at around 6pm just in time for the final walk that will take place at the end of the Sunday RaceMeeting at Pontefract.

In total we will cover around 17 miles on foot and approx 250 miles by coach (thats the best bit!).

Whilst Kate and I donate to charity we have rarely been involved in taking part in charity events however given such an important charity which is close to our hearts we simply could let this pass us by!
