The Beatson Cancer Charity provide priceless support to victims of cancer and their families, as well as working to advance treatment to beat cancer forever. Everyone knows someone who has been touched by cancer, and whether the battle is short or long, lost or won, the need for support often remains ongoing for patients and their families.

In October, I will be running the Exmoor Trail half marathon in memory of Diain's mum Alyson, and to thank Beatson for all the support they provided to her and her husband Alan. I have severe asthma and the prospect of running has always terrified me. However, recently, I have found a love for trail running and keep pushing myself to the limits of what I previously thought possible. Running with asthma is still extremely difficult and scary, and this will be my biggest challenge yet.
