Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank provides a minimum of 3 days emergency food and support to local people in crisis. We are one of over 300 foodbanks providing emergency food to people in crisis nationwide. Your support helps stop local people going hungry.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

Last year I decided to support my Muslims students by committing to do half of Ramadan with them. The experience gave me an insight into the difficulties faced by many who have access to little food on a day-to-day basis. This insight has motivated me to try to complete the full 30 days this year to support both my students and charities who work to ease the impact of food poverty in the local area. I will be collecting donations for the foodbank whilst I complete my fast so please have a dig in your cupboards for tinned/packeted food, go out and spend a pound on some food or send some money my way to purchase some food on your behalf. I will happily come and collect donations so please let me know if you have anything to give. I've already had £20 off some lovely people to set the ball rolling ❤️

38% of households in Stoke-on-Trent are living on less than £16,000 per year (the minimum amount required to access basic goods and services in Britain. Hardship Commission – Stoke-on-Trent, 2015).
