Story

Dear all,

My partner Luke recently passed away due to Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS), also know as Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.

SADS is when someone dies suddenly and unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest, but the cause of the cardiac arrest can’t be found.

*Sudden arrhythmic death syndrome affects around 500 people in the UK every year.*

Myself and Luke's cousin, Sam, are running Bristol Half Marathon this month in memory of Luke, and to raise awareness of this condition. SADS is a condition that is hard to detect, and is more prevalent in fit healthy men.

With the money raised I would like to get a defibrillator fitted on Victoria street, Bristol; fund further research in to the condition; and to raise awareness to encourage more men get checked for heart conditions.

I know times are hard right now, and I completely understand if you’re not in a position to donate, but if you are, any amount you can give would be so gratefully received.

Please use the link below if you would like to donate.

Thank you so much,

Bry x
