بِسمِ أللهِ ألرَّحمَنِ ألرَّحِيم
Asalaamu Alaykum, brothers and sisters. Let me start by saying JazakAllah Khair for clicking on this link, May Allah bless you and reward you abundantly for your intention to support building our mosque. You have chosen to provide a space for personal and spiritual development of a diverse community. A place where people are united in worship, where men and women come to for solace and support, and where children and adults learn to read.
Your donation will unite people as a community, give them strength, breed hope and inspire social justice as well as the perseverance to improve themselves and their lives.
A little history behind this page and why it has been created:
In 1979, the Greenwich council rented a property (which was really a pub) to Muslims in Woolwich. After some time, they were given a notice to quit, so they were in search for another property to perform their worship. In 1984 they founded a very small property and from then onwards, they managed to receive planning permission for this property and raise funds to start building a Masjid. As you can see, the job has not been completed but we are slowly getting there Alhamdulilah. In Sha Allah, with your help and the help of our community, we are very hopeful that we can achieve our desired outcome in the name of Allah SWT.
This is an opportunity to invest the wealth given to us by Allah SWT to benefit ourselves and future generations. You can help build the house of Allah and gain immense rewards. It was narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah that The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow’s nest for Allah or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in the paradise” (Sunan ibn Majah, Book 4, Hadith 4). Whether you decide to donate in your name or in the name of a loved one, your reward will be a perpetual Sadaqah reward.
This is the perfect investment in the HereAfter. In Sha Allah, by helping to complete the building of this Masjid you can earn ongoing Sadaqah that shall continue in the grave for you and/or your loved ones.
The money raised shall go towards creating:
* Phase 1A completion of new building basement & ground floor
* Phase 1B completion of 1st floor & 2nd floor new building
* Phase 2B disabled access area, external drainage, landscaping, roof, boundary wall, shop, front cladding and minaret
* In addition, we have also undertaken several remedial works i.e. installed a new manhole inside masjid basement to eliminate existing bad odour and carried-out several remedial works in the toilets/Wudu area
The Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said "Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth" (Muslim 2588, Book 45, Hadith 90)
