"Education is the door to freedom, democracy and development" (Nelson Mandela) BS4A helps rural communities replace dilapidated school buildings in Africa in association with SHUMAS Cameroon, each school has clean drinking water and segregated toilets to improve the children's health along with income generating projects for long term sustainability.

Story

Lucy, Martha and Charlotte were really keen to raise money for children needing help to get a better education.  They researched this charity (Building Schools for Africa) and were inspired by the fact that the donations go, quite literally, towards concrete improvements to schools in Cameroon.

They've had loads of ideas of how to raise money and have had enthusiastic discussions with their headmaster about how they could raise money and presented their ideas to their school assembly.

They settled on a bake sale and made posters to publicise  it.  They encouraged others to bake and baked cakes themselves and ran the stall raising an impressive £191.30!

Martha and her brother Eddie also held a yard sale and finally the girls decided to set up a just giving page and make a video.

They are hoping to raise £500.00 and would be really grateful for a donation.
