My name is Ela and I will be running the Bupa Great North Run 2014 to help raise funds to support Children with Cancer.

I love art and one of my greatest passions is painting. I always wanted to use my passion to help, so I prepared a special set of vintage, zodiac signs paintings! You can either receive a signed print or a hand-made painting with my personal message. I started to run at the age of 46. My first big challenge was the marathon in Barcelona in 2010. It was an amazing experience that continued as my passion. So far, I’ve run many events, but I always felt I wanted to do something more. I feel extremely thankful and grateful that I am able to run as I get so much enjoyment out of it both mentally and physically. I always wanted to use my passion to help others, so in 2012 I decided to run my first marathon for charity. I have raised 2 000 pounds via JustGiving page (https://www.justgiving.com/londonmarathonwithela/) and through personal events for Alzheimer Scotland Charity.
