As a member of the West Yorkshire Police Explorer Programme, I have been given the opportunity to take part in the 'Halifax Long March'. Which is a 26 mile walk around Halifax starting at midnight on Easter Sunday along side police volunteers and Special Constabulary. 

The Long March is for the charity 'Care of Police Survivors' (COPS) which is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers, who have lost their lives whilst on duty, to rebuild their lives. It aims to ensure that surviving family members have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy and that they remain part of the police family.
