I am Senior Partner in the Belfast Office of Worthingtons Solicitors and am taking part in this challenge to raise money for a charity which offers support to parents and carers of newly diagnosed children and families who have been living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for long periods and has a range of family support training for the family, extended family members and staff and volunteers from a wide range of organisations.

Autism NI receives minimal funding from the Statutory Sector - largely due to the lack of recognition of the need to fund Family Support Services despite the building evidence that this is a critical core service.

Most people know of a family with an autistic child and charities such as Autism NI provide essential support to ease the lives of parents and carers of autistic children.
